Wat doet dit programma? What does this program do?

Situatie: je webserver gaat eruit of je account wordt afgesloten en je publiceert je site elders. Probleem: de gebruikers vinden je site niet meer. Met dit programma kan je redirect pagina's aanmaken om op de oorspronkelijke locatie te publiceren vooraleer je account wordt afgesloten.

Situation: your primary server goes down or your account is closed and you publish your site elsewehere. Problem: the users can't find your page iny more. With this program you can create a set of redirect pages to publish on the original spot before your account closes down. You can also choose for a set of framed forwarding pages.

Hoe werkt het? How does it work?

• Browse
  Kies de map waarin de bestanden van de website zitten. Het programma onthoudt deze map. Belangrijke opmerking: dit programma ontleedt geen submappen.
  Choose the folder where the files of the website files reside. The program keeps track of this folder. Important restriction: this program does not treat subfolders.
• Create movers
  Maakt een set van pagina's sie de gebruiker zal doorsturen naar het nieuwe adres met een automatische redirect na het aantal seconden dat je kan instellen. Je zal een map sitemovers vinden in de map van de website, en je kan de inhoud van die map publiceren naar de oorspronkelijke locatie van de website.
  Creates a set of pages that will forward the user to the new address, redirecting him automatically after the number of seconds you can specify. You'll find a folder called sitemovers in the folder of the website. You can publish of that folder on the original webserver.
• Create frames
  Maakt een set van geframede pagina's die de pagina's op de oude locatie toont. Je zal een map framedfoward vinden in de map van de website, en je kan de inhoud van die map publiceren naar de oorspronkelijke locatie van de website.
  Creates a set of framed pages that will show the pages on the new address on the old location. You'll find a folder called framedforward in the folder of the website. You can publish of that folder on the original webserver.
• New address
  Bepaal hier het adres van de nieuwe website.
  Enter here the new address of the website.
• Delay
  Bepaal hier hoeveel seconden het duurt eer de sitemovers de gebruiker automatisch doorverwijzen nar de nieuwe locatie.
  Enter the number of seconds that the user sees the sitemover pages before being redirected automatically to the new location.

Waarvoor dient het? What is all this about?

• Om snel een index te maken voor een set van HTML pagina's. Dat is met name nuttig voor een reeks oefeningen aangemaakt in een programma als HotPotatoes.
  To create an index for a set of HTML Pages created by another program, such as HotPotatoes.
• Ik gebruik het voor het bijhouden van What's new? Alle bestanden gewijzigd sinds de laatste update worden gekopieerd naar een aparte map, ik maak een index van die map en kan de lijst van laatst gewijzigde bestanden zonder meer opslaan.
  I created it to produce What's new? All files changed since the latest update are copied into one folder. I make an index of that folder and can save my What's new file.
