schools. Its features include scheduling, a grade book,
attendance, eligibility, transcripts, and more. Student and
employee information screens are critical components.
- ClarkConnect
is a powerful yet easy-to-use server/gateway software solution designed
for the small/medium-sized organization. The software provides all the
necessary server tools to run an organization: email, antivirus,
antispam, file sharing, groupware, VPN, firewall, intrusion

is a complete student tracking, reporting, and information management

is a Web-based academic course system for assigning students to
university courses. It has an evolutionary algorithm for assigning
students to the courses they requested. This algorithm tries to find an
optimal distribution of students to existing courses while taking their
preferences into account. The system supports multiple roles for users:
Admin, Student, Teacher/Prof, or Tutor. A user can also have multiple
roles. It supports international localization, currently in English,
German, French, Russian, and Arabic.

EduCloud SIMS
is a software application for educational establishments to manage
student data. The EduCloud SIMS project is a data warehouse system with
a comprehensive service oriented architecture for enterprise
integration. The EduCloud system can be used to aggregate the student,
teacher, and school data from a variety of input systems into a single
data management solution. One benefit in this system is the ability to
accelerate the development of learning management systems, learning
content management systems, and school portals. However many large
educational groups such as states or small countries may elect to use
the system as the primary repository of information that can be
consumed by other applications such as a variety of LMS, School Portal,
and performance reporting systems.
- FET
(free timetabling tool)
automatically schedules the timetable of a school, high school, or
university. It aims to have the same functionality as expensive
scheduling programs.

is an accounting and membership application for NGOs and charities. It
has been developed in Spain, but any internationalization is welcome.
- iPeer
is an application to develop and deliver rubric-based peer evaluations,
to review and release student comments, to build progress report forms
online, and to analyze evaluation results. It features a built-in user
management system, data import/export, and an easy-to-use installer.
- Java
Stencil Report
is designed to write school reports in a fast way by a set of
user-inserted sentences. It has a small vector graphics editor to
create a full customizable print model. Java Stencil Report is designed
for schools, but can be used to write any kind of judgement. It does
not require any installation.

(Gestion Libre de Parc Informatique)
is an information resource manager with an administration interface.
You can use it to build a database with an inventory for your company
(computers, software, printers, etc.). It has functions to make the
daily life of the administrators easier, including a job/request
tracking system with mail notification and methods to build a database
with basic information about your network topology. It provides a
precise inventory of all the technical resources (all their
characteristics are stored in a database) and management and history of
the maintenance actions and the bound procedures. It is dynamic and is
directly connected to the users, who can post requests to the
technicians.
- GymMaster
is a membership database. It designed to meet the needs of a variety of
organizations like gyms, recreation centers, clubs, charitable
organizations, class management, and clubs. You can store detailed
records on members and their activities. It also provides for card
entry control, Web intergration, and reporting.
- IGOSSimpel
is an Indonesian school information management system. Its features
include school reports, assessment rubrics, grade books, absences,
discipline, and more.
- iTALC
is a use- and powerful didactical tool for teachers. It lets you view
and control other computers in your network in several ways.
- Livestat
is a Perl-based statistics management system designed for academic
competition tournaments, a.k.a "College Bowl" or "quiz bowl" events.
Livestat is used to automate the processing of statistics from
individual matches, and to quickly publish statistics on teams and
players to the Web.
- The
Meeting Request Scheduling and Booking System (MRSBS)
allows a person to schedule a meeting with people who are not on the
same (or any) calendaring system. The meeting host (or the host's
delegate) prepares an invitation, specifying required and optional
attendees, information about the meeting topic and duration, potential
time slots, and potential locations. The invitation is sent to the
invitees via email, and the invitees reply via a Web page with their
availability. Once all replies have been received, MRSBS selects the
best available time. Invitees are then notified with an RFC 2445
compliant iCalendar notification.
- Membership
Software
allows you to keep accurate and up-to-date membership records for an
organization online. It features membership import and an export
feature for creating mailouts. Members can be searched and information
including images can be stored for each member.
- MILPA
The
Programmatic Assessment and Remediation Tool (PART), is the public
MILPA technology developed by Microsoft as a trial solution for
Institutions to use to enhance their training delivery and improve
outcomes.
- Open Administration for Schools (OAfS)
is a Web-based school administration package. Open Admin does
demographics, attendance, discipline, report cards, and has an online
gradebook and parent viewing function. It is designed for elementary,
K-12, and small high schools. It generates plain HTML and uses LaTeX
for PDF generation. It also includes special education and
division-wide central office modules (all schools run on the same
server with different virtual sites; two sites per school, one for
teachers, and one for the office). Parent functions are by separate
parent/school site.

is an online booking software that allows you to manage in an unified
way the timetables of all the shared resources of your group,
association, or company. Such shared resources might be vehicles,
conference rooms, computers, video projectors, cameras, etc

is a full-featured collections management and access Web application
for museums, photo and moving-image archives, and digital collections.
It allows institutions and individuals to catalog and digitize their
collections for online access.

is software for teachers to keep track of grades. It can put the
students' grade reports on a Web server and allow the students
password-protected access to them.

is conference planning software written in Ruby (using the Rails
framework) and PL/pgSQL.
- phpmygrades
is an online grading book that can use multiple types of databases. It
is meant to be used mainly with a Web browser, but other methods of
accessing data are possible.

Rivals is a script for creating an all-in-one Web site for
gaming groups. It supports clans, ladders, and tournaments.
- phpScheduleIt
is a Web-based resource reservation system. Features include friendly
UI, recurring reservations, Outlook and iCal export, and email
reminders.
- PSCafe
is a POS (Point of Sale) system for school cafeterias. It integrates
with SIS systems like PowerSchool (which replaces Powerlunch) and the
Pentamation Student Information System. It takes into account free and
reduced lunches and student credit. It has a Parent Access Portal that
allows parents to view what their child is eating and its nutritional
content. It also has a management portal that allows for item
management, reporting, etc
- Schedule
Organizer
is an online appointment planner that allows customers to reserve an
appointment with a company via the company's homepage. Appointment and
customer data can be edited by the customers and operators.
- SchoolBell
is a calendar server for small to medium sized organizations. It
supports calendars for people, groups, and resources. It is accessible
through a Web interface, and supports import and export of iCalendar
files.
- SchoolTool
is a project to develop a common global school administration
infrastructure that is freely available under an Open Source licence.
The vision is to create a platform that is equally compelling for
schools and colleges in First and Third World countries, that supports
best practices in school administration, and that is readily customized
to comply with local regulatory requirements. It is based primarily on
Zope 3, with an HTML interface and a Web service interface in the REST
architectural style.
- The
Shezhu Resource Sharing System
is an application for scheduling and booking shared resources such as
rooms and equipment. The client only needs a modern Web browser. It has
a user friendly point and click interface, visual filters for making
block/repeat bookings, concurrent users and double booking prevention,
allows local site customization, and supports configurable academic
term/semester blocks.
- Social
Networks Visualiser (SocNetV)
imports and exports various network file formats (pajek, sociomatrix,
dot) and displays the network on screen. It can create random networks
(lattice, same degree, etc.). The user can visually modify an existing
network or draw a new one using the mouse. Network and actor
properties, such as distances, centralities, diameter, etc., can easily
be computed.
